MacBook

MacBook

The baby of the Apple laptop range, the MacBook is a fabulous little computer. Its processing power is a little lower than its bigger cousin - the MacBook Pro, but for many people this little Mac is just perfect (especially with a ram upgrade!). We have a MacBook at our office and it does most things really well - but it works much better since we (of course!) maxed out is ram! Every MacBook needs maximum memory to function really well. Ram installation is very simple - we have videos on our website showing exactly how to install your MacBook memory - so there are no excuses! Find the right ram for your Macbook (we can help if you are stuck) and get it in! You'll see a lot less of the dreaded spinning beachball and that has to be a good thing!

Locate your serial number, model identifier, and part number

With most versions of macOS, you can find your computer's serial number and model information in the About This Mac window.

Choose Apple menu > About This Mac. The window that appears lists your computer's model name—for example, MacBook (13-inch, 2010, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports)—and serial number. You can then use your serial number to check your service and support options or to find tech specs for your model.

You can also use your computer's model identifier to get more information. In the About This Mac window, click System Report. In the System Information window that opens, find Model Identifier in the Hardware Overview section. Then use the identifier to locate your MacBook below.
